Will Empire Total War work okay with Vista? Another consideration, being a novice, should I start with one of the earlier Total War games such as Rome or Medieval? The reason I am thinking of starting with Empire Total War is I know it will work with Vista, when I know the earlier games were designed for the XP operating system, and I have read that one can experience problems playing them with Vista. (I am unable to install a more powerful graphics card in my laptop.) I realise these games work far better on desktops, but when I bought my laptop, I was told that it was better for gaming than most laptops, because it had a dedicated graphics card. I realise it has passed on 'Can you Run It', but how reliable is that website? I would like some advice as to whether I will encounter any problems playing Empire Total War on my laptop. My operating system is Vista (Service Pack 2). I have 2.8GB of Ram (system memory 2,814 and graphics memory of 1,395). I have 256 MB of dedicated video memory and a total available graphics memory of 1407MB. I have an HP G60 217-EM Notebook with an AMD Turion Duel-Core RM 72 processor and a GeForce 8200 M G video card.

I have tested my system requirements on 'Can you Run it?' and it says that my pc meets the recommended system requirements for Empire Total War, but Napoleon Total War fails. I am interested in playing total war games but I have not played strategy games before so I am seeking some help.
